Terry Monroe is President and Founder of American Business Brokers & Advisors. While he works with a variety of clients, Terry specializes in advising entrepreneurs who do not have a succession plan and are considering selling their business. He has helped hundreds of business owners develop an exit plan and enhance the value of their business.
Having owned and operated over 40 different businesses and sold more than 500 businesses, Terry shares with his client’s real-world experience as both a business owner and an intermediary. He writes articles for many trade magazines and has been featured in USA Today, Inc., Entrepreneur Magazine and the Wall Street Journal over the years.
Terry lives in Ft. Myers Beach, FL and is a past musician of old rock n’ roll and airplane pilot. When Terry is not working with his clients, he likes seeking adventure hiking and trekking mountains. Terry has summited some of the world’s most famous peaks, including: Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa twice, Mount Aconcagua in Argentina, and Mount Brighton in Switzerland. His adventurous spirit has led him on hikes of the Inca Trail to the lost city of Machu Pichu, river rafting and exploration of rain forests in Costa Rica.
Terry has volunteered in fund raising efforts for The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, Hope for Haiti, Naples Community Hospital and Duke University cancer research.
But the best fun of all is when he gets to spend time with his nine grandchildren.
