Andrew brings a warm and hospitable attitude to the role of Senior Staff Accountant. Serving in a supportive role to the CFO, his myriad duties include payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reporting, as well as compliance and benefits. He methodically reviews company spending in search of actionable insights to present his team. On a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis, he creates reports on our expenses and profit. Our senior leadership team looks to these reports as they make decisions on the feasibility of various business decisions.
The Advantage Family contains multiple business units, each of which have their own financial reporting; Andrew is responsible for the reconciliation of these reports, from issuing payments to vendors, to ensuring all balances are correct. His role demands a consummate mastery of arithmetic and accounting. With his title comes a great deal of responsibility and trust. His commitment to precision and accuracy are instrumental to his success.
Andrew graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Accounting, then went on to get receive his Master’s and CPA certification. He joined public accounting firm Elliot Davis, where he worked as a staff accountant in their audit department for two years. There, he would present audit information to government entities like city councils. Andrew eventually moved to the private sector, and has thrived with Advantage|ForbesBooks for over a year. He is the sitting treasurer for the American Marketing Association, having been nominated last June.
